Orlando Magic- Internship
Oct 1-June 30th
40+ hours per week (includes game night duties at evey home game)
RADIO PRODUCTION CRITERIA/QUALIFICATIONS:
Jr, Sr, or Grad. Level college students and
recent college graduates. Technical broadcasting students accepted as well. Audio production, journalism, communications
or related major or production background preferred. Enthusiasm and flexible schedule a must. Knowledge of basketball
preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of audio recording equipment (mini disc,
DAT, etc.) Tape editing, digital audio work stations and some on-air experience a plus.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as assistant to the producer for Magic radio broadcasts. Responsibilities include gathering pre-game/post-game
sound for halftime feature production.
- Feed to and retrieve sound from NBA retrieval system.
- Archive and log sound bites and game broadcasts for future productions
- Maintain organization of audio suite and audio library.
- Write and produce commericals for Magic and Miracle broadcasts, including upcoming game promotion spots.
- Other duties as assigned
TV PRODUCTION

character generators/graphics, lighting and computers a plus.

Position #1- Editing/ Broadcast Coordinator Intern
- Tape Library responsibilites and administrative duties as assigned by the Broadcast Coordinator.
- Editing and delivering Magic TV Network commerical play reel for each broadcast.
- Logging Magic game highlight tapes and assighned by the Production/Operations Manager.
- Miscellaneous cuts editing as assigned by the Broadcast Coordinator.
- Tape duplication as assigned byt he Broadcast Coordinator.
Postition #2- Post-Production/ Avid Intern (Possible Second Shift)
- Avid media loggin and digitizing as assigned by the Production/Operations Manager.
- Logging Magic game highligh tapes and assigned by Broadcast Coordinator.
- Logging camera master B-roll and interview tapes.
- Tape duplication as assigned byt he Broadcast Coordinator.
- Web compression and distribution of our features and shows.
- Miscellaneous Avid editing as assigned byt he Prodcution/Operations Manager.
- Assist producers as assigned byt he Production/Operations Manager. Responsibilites include story research,
acquisition of footage and information gathering for each project.
Position #3- Field Production Intern/Videographer
- Assistant to Production/Operations Manager on all field/studio shoots with: equipment set-up and tear down,
ENG audio technician, lighting and shooting general upkeep and organization of studio/field production equipment, general
delivery and administrative duties.
- Logging Magic game highlight tapes and assigned by Broadcast Coordinator.
- Logging camera master tapes.
- Tape duplication as assigned by the Broadcast Coordinator.
