Promotions Assistant Immediate Part-Time Openings!Clear Channel Sarasota has immediate openings for entry-level part-time Promotions Assistants reporting to the Director of Marketing & Promotions up to 29 hours per week. Responsibilities include assisting the Promotions staff members with setting up/conducting/taking down radio promotions, on-sites (remotes…often outside), giveaways; operating broadcast equipment; operating on-air boards for broadcasts and shows; and other duties as assigned in a fast paced and exciting environment. Must be organized, responsible, self-starting, problem-solver with excellent inter-personal skills who can work flexible hours including weekdays, weekends and holidays. Must be capable of routinely lifting 20 - 30 lbs. items. Technical knowledge/experience of sound systems and promotional experience is a plus. Responsibilities include supervising the overall day-to-day functioning of the News Department, leading on-air talent, making news reporter assignments, compiling and editing news information, producing news programming, coordinating daily news feeds, and creating news features and public service programming. Must have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. College degree in journalism/broadcasting a plus. Minimum 5 years radio/television experience with at least 2 years in broadcast news and 1 to 2 years as a supervisor. Ability to work under stress and short deadlines plus scan newswire/network satellite feeds/newspapers for news leads/stories. Knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations.
