Television Broadcast Transmitter/Maintenance Engineer
WCTV is looking for a Television Broadcast Transmitter/Maintenance Engineer. Minimum 5 years maintenance experience on TV VHF Analog broadcast transmitter and minimum 2 years maintenance experience on UHF HDTV broadcast transmitter preferred. Duties include maintaining and repairing component level analog and digital transmitter and associated equipment, and general broadcast engineering duties including maintenance and repair of DVCPro equipment, microwave equipment, server and network equipment, and support for live newscasts and broadcast remotes. A strong news background, computer knowledge and Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or SBE Certification is desirable. Drivers license with satisfactory driving record mandatory.

Responsibilities include but not limited to editing video for up to two newscasts a day, recording satellite and microwave feeds, and playback of video during assigned newscasts. Successful candidate will understand the Sony DV Cam format and have worked with nonlinear editing systems preferably Avid. Must be able to work flexible hours and be able to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
