RANDSTAD NA, in partnership with Discovery Latin America has an opportunity for a Broadcast Operator
Master control for multiple network services for 24/7 broadcast facility. Provide technical and tape operations support for post-production, audio production, tape duplication and technical quality control. Handle projects, including, but not limited to, duplication, QC and encoding as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum two years experience in a broadcast master control environment. Must be technically literate with the ability to read scopes and monitoring equipment and possess computer skills. Experience with master control switchers, automation systems and routers. Must have STRONG communication skills, be a self-starter and be well-organized and detail-oriented. The ability to work multiple tasks and monitor several different feeds is required. Familiarity or fluency in a foreign language is a plus.
- Solid understanding of video and audio theory and use of waveform/vectorscopes.
- Operational knowledge of automation systems and equipment, including but not limited to LOUTH, ODETICS TCS90 cart system, and Hewlett-Packard (HP) Video Servers.
- Working knowledge of master control switchers such as PHILLIPS SATURN switcher.
- Extensive experience with Sony Betacam, Digital Betacam formats.
- Working knowledge of MS DOS and MS Windows operating environments.
- College degree in Communications or other related schooling preferred.
