Description: Produce and deliver comprehensive and accurate weather reports for daily newscasts on an ABC affiliate station.
Responsibilities Include: Primarily responsible for producing weather reports for the daily newscasts on the ABC affiliate, and for doing “live” weather reports from remote locations. Must be able to put together entertaining and understandable support maps and graphics. Also, must be able to represent the station in outside speaking engagements.
Requirements:
- Five years in television weather with at least two years experience as a weather anchor
- Meteorologist degree a must
- Seal of AMS preferred
- Strong on-air talents and upbeat personality
- Accurate and creative writing skills
- Ability to maintain professional appearance
- Willingness to work with others and to communicate effectively
